Measurement Guide

How to Take Measurements

1. Pin hair as flat and as tight as possible before taking the measurements.

2. Round your measurements up no t down. Example: 12 3/4 should be rounded up to 13 and 12 1/4 should be rounded up to 12 1/2.

Note: If you are bald or do not have a hair line - you do not need to add the inch - simply put the tape measure where you would like your hairline to begin with the wig. The averages below are just examples. Not everyone will meet these measurements - some may be under or over and that is perfectly fine.

1. Circumference

Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair line around the head and nape of
the neck. (Average measurement is 22 inches).
2. Forehead to Nape of neck

Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of
hairline at nape of neck. (Average measurement is 13 1/2 inches).
3. Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline

At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in
front of other ear. (Average measurement is 11 1/2 inches).
4. Ear to Ear Over the Top

Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear.
(Average measurement is 11 inches).
5. Temple to Temple Around Back

From temple to temple across the back of head. (Average measurement is 14 inches).
6. Nape of Neck

Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck. (Average measurement is 6 inches).

I always enjoyed making potholders like these when I was a young girl so I thought maybe the grandkids would like to try their hand. Well, kids today aren't into making things I guess. One is making a potholder as I write this and the others all just walked away without even trying.My little craftsman is working away, sorting the colors she wants to use and lining them up. She seems happy enough and it's going better for her as she gets the hang of it. Crafts aren't for everyone but if your kids/grandkids are interested in such things, this is a nice little set. There is absolutely nothing included that can hurt a child during normal play, that I can see....

i ordered this 'IQKidz weaving loom kit' and it's 5 STARS!PROS:- this kit comes with EVERYTHING you need- comes in a really nice plastic container with locking lid to keep everything organized and together- SCREEN FREE fun and entertainment- strong and STURDY frame and pegs that stay in place- instruction booklet with step-by-step instructions- 'loops' are VERY soft and stretchy which makes making the potholders easy for any age- great QUALITY craft at the price point....

I ordered this for my 7 year old son and we got it yesterday. We are reading a story that involves someone weaving wool yarn into cloth and he mentioned that he would like to try a loom. Having no immediate access to a loom, I thought we would give this a try. Wasn't sure how it would go over with a 7 year old boy who spends the majority of his freetime slaying dragons or exploring the wilderness or playing a bit of wii ;) but he loves it! He wanted to get started right away and he mananged to make his very first potholder with very little assistance. The loom is high quality metal and the loops it came with fit perfectly. At first I was worried that they would be a little hard to work with because the seemed a little frayed in places, but it didn't pose much of a hinderance. I showed him how to do each step and he was able to complete it with just a little bit of assistance. Overall I think this is a great educational and fun product especially for the price....
